Amy Aldrich-McAfee
Amy Aldrich-McAfee (Amy McAfee) is an experienced educator of more than 30 years in public and independent schools. Holding a California credential in English as well as a Reading Specialist credential, she has worked with hundreds of students. Amy worked for the last 20 years as the Learning Specialist at Santa Catalina Lower and Middle School supporting students with learning disabilities, attention challenges and other difficulties that made school hard. With a Master of Education degree in reading as well as advanced training in the Slingerland Approach (an Orton-Gillingham, science of reading method) and additional trainings in Making Math Real and Sarah Ward’s executive function methods, Amy is well-positioned to provide individualized, diagnostic learning intervention to area students.
